Sneha Ramachandran (Iyer – Patil!)
I wouldn’t blame you if ‘Buttercup’ reminded you of ‘The Powerpuff Girls’ but then I wouldn’t say I qualify to be THAT Buttercup. So let me start with clearing that misconception.
‘Buttercup’ is the pet-name given to the protagonist by her best friend in one of my favorite novels by Cecelia Ahern, ‘Where Rainbows End’.
(Btw, Cecelia is an Irish novelist, my inspiration to become a writer and visit Ireland, not necessarily in that order!)
Can you even call yourself a book lover if you did not ever experience the feeling of “Oh my God, that’s so ME!” and the character makes you want to believe that the author created that person with you in mind!? That’s Rosie for me. 🙂
So this girl, Rosie Dunne a.k.a Buttercup, is so much like me that my best friend decided it only appropriate to rechristen me!
Rosie’s crazy, confused and emotional!,
She lives an unplanned, unorganized life and acts on pure impulse,
but the main reason?
It is, without any doubt, her love for letters.
You want to know more about Sneha? Okay, here you go!
I believe I was meant to pursue a creative career but the realization only struck me after struggling for years with one of the toughest courses in India – C.A!
I’m like the tortoise, slow and steady and persistent, I mean how else do you think I managed to become a C.A.!?
STATUTORY WARNING: I CANNOT CRUNCH NUMBERS. NUMBERS COULD CHEW ME UP AND SPIT ME OUT! 😛
‘It’s only words, and words are all I have’ – the most befitting lyrics (Thanks Bee Gees!*) to explain my passion for writing. Also, I’m known to obsess over grammar, so much so that people call me a Grammar Nazi!
What do I love most?
I wish I could boast about my nearly-decade long training in Carnatic music but lack of practice and dedication stops me from doing so. While I spent most of my life listening to mainstream Bollywood, now I wouldn’t be caught dead listening to the garbage Bollywood churns out! Of course I do have a favorite playlist that shall continue to serve me till my end.
Never loved travel more than I do now, ever since I started blogging about my experiences. You can always trust my two little boys and my husband to give me enough travel opportunities and content to create a travel blog for a living!
Nothing comes between me and coffee. Except maybe the Starbucks bill.
Hoarding up on pretty boxes and collecting the most random, trivial things in the name of ‘memory’ is another obsession that I’ve had since forever.
If that ain’t enough about me already, please keep reading my posts!
Cheers
