Birth of the blog..

I can hardly believe that a boring afternoon led to the birth of my blog. I mean, I have been putting away the idea of creating one, for a very long time. Suddenly there’s this excitement in me! I wonder how long it will last. *Fingers crossed*

People have often told me I’m in the wrong profession(Chartered Accountancy). You think I am not aware of that, for screaming out loud!!!?? However, they seem oblivious to the effect it has on my poor head. I have never planned the course of my career. Go with the flow is my motto. CA was also the result of such impromptu decision making! But it has worked in my favour. Academically, I have not disappointed myself or my parents. So many out there struggle to get through the inter level. But not me! I cleared it in one go. Call it luck or whatever you want. I didn’t slog for it. It was just another exam.

It was only when I entered the articleship phase that I began to feel out of place.
I tried to develop interest in what I was expected and paid to do. But I couldn’t. I was a robot. I did what I was told to.
Again I found myself becoming a victim to “you’re in the wrong profession”.

I’m the epitome of ‘Jack of all trades, master of none’. Oh, when I say trades, let me tell you, the list is not too long! It ends at(wait, let me do a quick mental count) three!

‘Write a novel’ is the alternate profession that fetched the maximum votes! I can tell you basis what this suggestion has been made.

1) I’m a story-book addict. I grew up with my head buried deep in books. Sports and TV shows didn’t excite me.
Note: Non fiction and Indian authors are a No-No.
2) I enjoy writing letters. Love letters to my boyfriend-turned-husband, personal general letters to whoever wants one just for the joy of receiving letters!
Note: professional letters don’t find a place in this category.
3) Whatever little I have written in my life has been appreciated and liked.
Note: I don’t showcase my work on any public platform. So the likes are limited.

Conclusion: I can’t wake up tomorrow and sit to write a novel that I have not yet readied myself for. I won’t deny the fact that I want to. It is a dream. The plot will come to my head, rather heart, when it’s the right time. I’m a strong believer in destiny, so I’ll leave it to Her. (I determined my destiny’s gender!)

Coming back to present, the present that I often forget to live in, I’m still pursuing CA till I finish it or it finishes me.

P.S. If you were to associate the letters ‘C’ and ‘A’ joint together, with me, they’d only stand for ‘Confused Always’.

Wait a second. Are you wondering about the other two points on my list???
No big secret. Singing and cooking. I don’t see myself becoming the next singing sensation nor am I opening my own hotel/ patisserie. So goodbye to the two!
Starting now, I’m going to regularly post on this blog. I don’t promise any eye-opening-heart-wrenching inspirational stories! It’s only till I run out of topics or till some bored frustrated reader shuts down this very site!
