Change of C.H.A.N.G.E.!

My mother-in-law set me on a task today. She wanted a few words on ‘CHANGE’; the theme for her meeting.

I decided to do better than google. I decided to give her something original! It was easy. The words flowed from my head to the notepad effortlessly.
Turned out to be a success! She liked it! She took it!

Later when I sat down to re-read it, I realized what I had written was like the ideal script for one of Karan Johar’s movies while the reality was out and out an Anurag Kashyap!

I’ll let you be the judge!

C – Care
Change makes us realize the importance of being caring; care for our body and mind

H – Happiness
Change guides us to find happiness in things that really matter; those small things that help you attain happiness

A – Acceptance
Change makes us accept the inevitable that has come into our lives, and adjust ourselves to see the positive side

N – Nature
Change is the law of life, it is natural. We can’t stop it, so go along with it

G – Gratitude
Change teaches us to be thankful for everything we have – Family, friends, good food, good health and life

E – Empathy
Change reminds us to feel what others feel, to help them and lead all of us toward a new and better tomorrow

Okay. That was the philosopher in me that preaches. Practice??? Haha..wait for it!!!

C – Chaotic Constipation
Change is chaos. Change is constipation. In your head, in your system! Yes, I mean the poop routine too but it’s not limited to that. I mean restriction as a whole! You think so much, you forget you had to act!

H – Heebie-Jeebies
Change gets the nerves hyper to the power ‘N’!! You may be the one that acts on an impulse, the ‘go-with-the-flow’ risk-taker but suddenly you demand direction! You start flailing around your arms maniacally like a blindfolded person in a maze! Imagine how you’d look doing that!

A – Abnormal
Change is anything but NORMAL! Anybody who knows me well would label me ‘abnormal’! But this change, it’s an Alien concept. Something we can’t and don’t want to accept!

N – No man’s land
Change is like one of those villainy-type cabs you hail on a rainy night and suddenly in the middle of a lonely, dark street…gaadi bandh pad jaati hai!! You get out and run for your life but where to?

G – Groundwork
Change requires work. Re-work. Start from scratch again? Rome wasn’t built in a day. Well you know what? Neither was my comfort zone! Thank you NOT!

E – Emp-ty
Change triggers emotions…but ironically you experience emptiness! One minute you’re feeling all the emotions at the same time; anger, anxiety, fear, frustration, excitement and exhaustion! The next minute you feel devoid of it all! What actually ends up empty at the end of a ‘battle’ is your head!

Okay. I exaggerate. I’m very generous with the use of hyperbole but you know what I mean! 😀

Things are always easier said than done! Nobody wants anything new or different unless they know what’s in it for them! But that’s when you have a ‘choice’. Lucky if you do and if you don’t, it’s best you try to make peace with change unless you want it to rip you piece by piece! 😀

Maybe… just maybe… Some changes can turn out to be good…Keep your fingers crossed!

Cheers 🙂
