This summer I’ve reached a whole new level of hypocrisy!!
Ask why!!?? Ask!!
I have always been so ANTI South-dubbed-Hindi movies that dominate the Movie channels , especially Set Max. So much so that Sooryavansham has taken a backseat and that’s saying something!!
But, but, but… yesterday while surfing the channels, I stopped at Set Max to watch ‘No. 1 Mr. Perfect’. (Let me just recheck the name from the photo I clicked for memory!)
All this for Amarendra Bahubali aka Prabhas, who happened to be the No. 1 Mr. Perfect. He looked far from ‘Perfect’ in comparison to what he looks in Bahubali but I couldn’t care less! He’s my new crush. Like I’m all gaga over him! Unfortunately, at present, he’s No. 1 on every woman’s crush list! Every single woman wants an Amarendra for a husband and every married one wishes for her husband to be an Amarendra! Well, one can always dream limitlessly!
Oh, talking about my hypocrisy, forgot to mention I was ANTI Bahubali too 😛
Every time Pratik watched it on TV, I didn’t bother to because I failed to understand the hype created around it. Also because I’m a stubborn idiot. As a result, I went to watch the Conclusion without having watched the Beginning. I knew the characters and the general plot only I didn’t know Prabhas looked so Majestically handsome!
When he first appeared on the screen, my jaw dropped and probably my drool also did, into the popcorn!
I’m a sucker for romance and chemistry and this movie just about beat every single SRK movie in those parameters. Yesterday, I sat and watched The Beginning on YouTube in Tamil. Though most of the dialogues went from above my head due to my half Tamil – half Mallu background, there was nothing to stop me from starring at Prabhas like a love struck cuckoo!
So all in all, my vacations that began on the 9th are going great! I’ve managed to NOT think about my results thanks to:
1) Bahubali,
2) The sequel to one of my favorite books released last month. No sooner did my exams end than I re-read the prequel. Got done with the sequel in a day! Looking at me huddled in a corner of my room with the book, my mother-in-law thought I’d got back to studying for exams!
3) I’ve got myself a full time gym trainer who thinks any moment sitting idle is a moment wasted! That’s my 4 year old nephew. I’m the nearest thing to a kid available in the house! 😛
4) Guilt free hogging, half of which is actually force feeding because of the unanimous opinion that I’ve lost too much weight. Pastries, chocolates, cheese and all of it!
Also, I’ve been doing a lot of driving around Navi Mumbai. Don’t worry guys, no one is in any sort of danger. Not yet!
What sucks about driving;
1) I can’t change the FM channel as frequently as I used to while I was on the passenger seat! Pratik hasn’t ever complained about MY songs (people would brand that as choosing life over wrath of wife) but ever since I’ve taken over the wheel, he gets his share of revenge.
2) The moment I’m on the road, my itching begins.. especially places not easily accessible what with both hands on the wheel. There’s always someone beside me but they may not necessarily be as accommodating as my poor granny! As a kid, she used to apply mehendi on both my hands and then IT would begin. The urge to itch, to pee. She’d patiently help me with all of it! 😀
Well, that’s about it, so far! For more updates on my vacation, stay tuned. 😛
Jaiiii Maheshmathiiiii… Cheers!
